Description : Guru Harkrishan Public School Celebrates India’s 80th Independence Day Guru Harkrishan Public School celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day on 14 August 2026 with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm, honouring the sacrifices of freedom fighters and inspiring students to contribute towards a stronger and progressive India. The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of Chairman S. Paramjit Singh Chandhok and Vice Chairman S. Jujhar Singh Virk. The celebration began with a soulful Shabad, followed by a patriotic song and the thought-provoking skit “India Today and India Tomorrow,” highlighting India’s achievements, challenges and the responsibilities of its young citizens. An inspiring address by the Chairman motivated students to become responsible citizens. Vibrant Giddha and Bhangra performances showcased Punjab’s rich cultural heritage. The programme concluded with the proud hoisting of the National Flag, the National Anthem and a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, leaving everyone inspired to contribute towards building a stronger and better India.
